IGH is a new series of shows and much more dedicated to the recent eclectic explosion in Bristol of improvised based music and alternative jazz. Mixing scenes and genres whilst challenging attitudes and traditional promotion of both.
Ens Ekt features the experimental musical inventions of Paul Stapleton (Californian born, Belfast-based) playing a bonsai sound structure placed in dialogue with the circular breathed multiphonics and harmonic textures of Simon Rose on baritone saxophone (English born, Berlin-based) and the resonant gestural and spectrally focused playing of Adam Pultz Melbye on double bass (Danish born, Berlin-based)
