THURSDAY 18th FEBRUARY // THE OLKD ENGLAND // doors 8pm // FREE ENTRY
LET SPIN consists of MOSS FREED (guitar), RUTH GOLLER (bass), CHRIS WILLIAMS (saxophone) and FINLAY PANTER (drums). Their spectacular eponymous 2014 debut announced them as'a significant new UK jazz force' (John Fordham, The Guardian) and followup LET GO is the album that confirms them as one of the most exciting new bands in Europe.
Featuring members of Melt Yourself Down, Led Bib, Beats & Pieces Big Band and Moss Project, Let Spin is a band confident enough to explore both individual and group aesthetics in composition and performance. It is this hard earned group empathy that gives them the rare ability to move between thrashy punk, wistful reflection and more complex, quirky territory so effortlessly.
'British Punk Jazz with a wiry electrical crackle'
