::STOP PRESS:: TRIPLE THREAT ALERT - THREE OF BRISTOLS BEST NEW BANDS - ONE NIGHT!!!!

Just when you thought it was safe NOT to venture out this Easter weekend, here comes a Triple-Whammy of a night featuring 3 of the freshest bands that Bristol has to offer.....

Top of the night are The Scribes are a four-piece formed in 2002 by co-lyricists ill Literate and Loki Steele, The Scribes have since gone from strength to strength with the addition of DJ/Producer Spinz to the mix bringing the heaviest of beats to kick crap out of your cliches & human beatbox maestro Lacey. The band have since performed extensively with artists such as Pendulum, Example, Tinie Tempah and Chase and Status, as well as providing original music for BBC television programming. Their newest material promises to be a defining release for The Scribes with an epic new sound to rock out to for 2011 and still finding time to rock out the odd event, The Scribes are going strong and growing every day.

Bristol's very own Syte & The Sound are next up, a 6-piece live act dynamically blending genres on a journey from deep trip-hop to slamming bass and beats. Forming in early 2009, they have earnt their status as a tour-de-force both live and on record, supporting such acts as Dead Prez, Youngblood Brass Band, DELS (Ninja Tunes), The Correspondents and Example. Combining traditional band instrumentation with the creative freedom of samples and synthesizers, this is complimented by conscious, powerful rap lyricism with soulful, impassioned singing. Since Syte and the Sound exploded onto the scene (forming in early 2009) they have establishing a reputation as a formidable live act that are both passionate and engaging.

Finally, born in the cultural melting pot that is Bristol, Three Kings High consists of band members from as North and as South as England goes and they're influenced by about as many genres as there are cities in-between. Rooted in Hip Hop but combining uplifting, soulful, indie melodies with beats as likely to have been inspired by drum'n bass as old funk records. Three Kings High deliver an uncompromised portrayal of living and working in England and write songs with a message that will stay on repeat in your head for days. Live, the 6 piece band fronted by Samuel Otis & Joe Chattabox who sing and rap delivering an energetic stage show that leaves an impact on indie to Hip Hop crowds alike.
