We are immensely proud and extremely excited to be presenting The BOXETTES at The Old Fire Station. They are Bristol's renowned BELLATRIX's band from London on a mini tour that includes a date at the Eden Project.
Bellatrix, Female Beatbox World Champion will be doing'puff puff tsiki tsiki bow bow'.. (come see how it's really done..:)
She has amazed crowds internationally with her incredible gift for beatboxing over the years.
The Boxettes are incredible- each of them is a musician jazz major at the Guildhall School.. all 5 of them would individually set any venue alight. Please note: This is not your standard a'cappella group, they will have the place jumping!
::::ALSO NOTE TO SELF:::: It's Bellatrix's Birthday!!
gifts, cakes, kisses (figurative ones also count) etc etc etc suggested and encouraged =)
Support comes from the amazing talents of'sassy a'capella trio' LACE ON LIPSTICK wonders wonders! =)
All followed up by the unstoppable dance-floor-filling DJ genius of DJ SMERINOFF (George Smerin)
The words'Don't miss This' are bandied about all too often these days but this is one of those nights that really does warrant it . so DON'T MISS IT. innit.
Fresh on the London scene, this group of five extraordinary young women has been causing quite a stir. Well surpassing just about any expectations society could possibly have on a girl band, the Boxettes' show leaves everyone (and I mean everyone) inspired, moved, and quite stunned. Detached from specific genre and even description, they are quite frankly impossible to pigeonhole; the term'alternative a'cappella' just doesn't evoke even a fraction of the sheer brilliance the Boxettes display with such ease. Among the personnel is the highly regarded Bellatrix, Female Beatbox World Champion, as well as four other distinctive women who are equally as astonishing in their talent and individuality. This show is just a must see, and when you have seen it you will want to see it again and again, and bring everyone you know to see it too.
After a dedicated couple of years tightening harmonies in their bedrooms, Lace on Lipstick have recently made the bold move to live performances. This a'capella trio have played some amazing gigs and been causing a buzz on the local music scene already including a stunning performance at BRISFEST amongst many other.
