Women's day BODIED CANVAS at The Old Library Eastville
See event details

A event on Sunday 8th March. The event starts at 12:00.

*For anyone loosely identifying with the evolving concept of woman. On Women’s Day, Bodied Canvas becomes more than ever a toast to female camaraderie and friendship — celebrating difference, honouring shared vulnerabilities, and inspiring one another through stories, colour, and presence. Because fun and community reinforce each other, we use body painting as a form of individual creative expression and collective relating. Together we tap into an ancient, transcultural practice of decorating one another as a way of connecting beyond words. Bring a friend or come on your own. Together we’ll deepen social intimacy through playfulness, creativity, and the willingness to be vulnerable as a way of existing and relating. What to expect: 12:00–12:45 — Introduction & speed friending 12:45–13:30 — Sharing circle 13:30–15:00 — BODY PAINTING JAM 15:00–16:30 — Hot soup around the fire, sharing circle & music 16:30–17:00 — Break - Time for personal reflections and poetry 17:00–18:00 — Closing circle In the past, we’ve explored themes ranging from people-pleasing and assertiveness to language, boundaries, and the unapologetic expression of our value and expertise. All paints used are specifically designed for skin (including face). They dry quickly and wash off easily with water and soap, leaving no permanent stains on clothes. Places are limited to cultivate the intimate, safe space needed to foster trusting playfulness. Instagram: @bodied.canvas https://www.instagram.com/bodied.canvas
