A event on Saturday 7th October. The event starts at 19:30.

Our next showing is on Saturday Oct 7th and is, to quote the trailer; "A white hot drama about a red hot jazzman" It's a very atmospheric 1950's black and white movie looking back to the 1920's. It is a fictionalized biopic of Bix Beiderbecke (1903 –1931) who was an American jazz cornetist, pianist and composer. Beiderbecke was one of the most influential jazz soloists of the 1920s, tragically he died at the age of only 28. The film stars: Kirk Douglas, Lauren Bacall, Doris Day, and Hoagy Carmichael. Harry James provides the music that Kirk Douglas brilliantly mimes. The film will be introduced by Dave Merrick with live 1920's songs from Natalie Davis and Dave.
