Girls are Loud at The Old Stillage

A gig on Thursday 25th June. The event starts at 20:30.

GIRLS ARE LOUD V3!

We are back 25th June at THE OLD STILLAGE for another edition of our brand new night showcasing women in the creative industry!

Kicking off with the fabulous FORTRESS AND THE AUDIO CITIZENS followed by the incredible THE BOOT HILL ALL STARS we are so excited to have some festival vibes in the pub this month! Your hostesses JEZELDER and KATHIKA playing some bouncy filthy goodness as well!

And for the first time we are opening 2x30 minute open deck slots for up and coming DJs who want to have some experience playing out and showcasing their bag of bangers to the place!

THE BOOT HILL ALL STARS
If you like your banjo music, fast, filthy and with more than a little cleavage, then look no further Brethren. The Boot Hill All Star show promises songs of tequila fuelled evenings, dubious morals and twisted family values. Bluegrass Ska at its finest. Previous shows include varied supports from The Damned, via The Beat to The Wurzels and Hayseed Dixie. Regulars on the festival circuit since 2008. It’s a great, fun show - full of audience participation and certainly not to be taken without a degree of fitness and a sturdy corset!

FORTRESS AND THE AUDIO CITIZENS
Fortress is a Bristol underground raver turned songwriter. After years DJing illegal raves, running a DIY record label, and managing DJs, she swapped the decks for a guitar and taught herself to sing because life gave her too many stories to keep quiet. With sharp humour, brutal honesty, and zero filters, she writes raw alternative punk-pop-blues about situationships, sex, mental health, and the chaos of real life. Fortress brings together fellow Audio Citizens to turn those stories into loud, unapologetic songs.

Art as always by the multi talented PEKOE!
