Mindful Drawing and Sound at The Ottowin Shop

A event on Thursday 7th March. The event starts at 19:00.

As part of 'Making Home', A Solo Show at Ottowin, Amber Bardell Hosts a unique Creative Workshop. Join Amber who is an artist and sound therapist for a chance to explore their mindful drawing technique, developed during their travels.

The basis of the workshop is an introductory meditation followed by a drawing workshop, which will be the accompanied by a soundscape made with singing bowls. The general approach is around using drawing as a technique for grounding and centring yourself. The workshop takes place amongst the show, so you will have the opportunity to view the work during the workshop.

This will be the first workshop of it's kind, so playfulness is encouraged! Materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own materials too (expect pencils, charcoal and some mixed media to be provided)

In the workshop you will gain insight in to an approach rather than a classical art class, and have opportunities to ask the artist questions throughout.

Please do get in touch with any queries about the event, or accessibility needs at [email protected]
Please be aware that the venue does have some steps at the entrance, we apologise for the limitations this may cause.
