Today I Wrote Nothing - by Flawed Mandrake Theatre
as part of BRISTOL EXPERIMENTAL PUPPET FESTIVAL
Held at The People's Theatre 2nd floor SPARKS, broadmead
On the 2nd of February 1942 Daniil Ivanovich Kharms died of starvation in the psychiatric ward of the Kresty Prison during the siege of Leningrad. Told as a fever dream his life flashes before his eyes intermingling elements of fact and his own absurdist fiction. Using a variety of puppetry techniques this story plays out on a second hand dresser. Do not expect to understand. But if you do, please tell us.
