Educators Unite at The Pickle Factory, Hallows Rd, Easton
See event details

A event on Sunday 15th September. The event starts at 10:00.

Educators Unite is a growing movement that aims to reshape Education, in collaboration with the growing praxis and vehicle of @thebristolcommons movement.

We aim to form educational collaborations that create educational commons and invitations that meet our human needs to survive and thrive, as guided by the Manfred Max-Neef's Human-Scale Development framework.

We have mapped the challenges, named the vision, and now we will be putting energy into our strategies for getting there.

This gathering will focus on identifying the next steps, plans of action, and the pathways forward. Ensuring that the Educators Unite movement grows in a way that is also nourishing, sustainable and resilient.

The event is designed and curated with consideration - with inclusion, diversity, accessibility, and creative/expressive participation as core principles.

We believe that the exchange of knowledge / experience / skills and wisdom happens in many differing ways, through a vast web of mutually beneficial relationships - some within institutions; grassroots or otherwise - and others through the intergenerational or peer-supported raising-up of individuals and community.
