Easton People's Council: Public Meeting on Community Power at The Pickle Factory

A event on Saturday 11th April. The event starts at 12:00.

The Event
On Saturday 11th April, come together with your neighbours for an honest conversation about community power. We will reflect on what power we currently have to shape the decisions that affect our lives and then share our ideas for what we could build together. Meet your neighbours, connect with others who care about our community, and enjoy some good food. Everyone welcome.

Here's what to expect...
- Together we'll explore what power we have and what we could build together.

- Performances from Sukina Noor (Bristol City Poet) and MoYah (Afro-fusion rapper, artistic activist, educator).

- Ex-mayors, parish & town councillors and community activists.

- Pay-what-you-feel food.

- Crèche for kids.

- Fully accessible venue.

About the Campaign
The Easton Peoples Council campaign is about setting up our own council? It’s called a People’s Council (also known as a Parish Council), and it gives us real powers over local decisions.

Another council?
Easton Peoples Council is not a normal council. It is run from the bottom-up - by us, for us. That means people like us deciding how the money gets spent, what gets built where and when, and how we care for the streets and each other.

Come along and find out more. All welcome, including people who don't live in Easton.

Built from the Ground Up. By Us, For Us.
