Hello, I am Fern Enley, a multidisciplinary artist and community activist using my creativity as my passion and power towards internal healing and genuine connection with others.
What I have always sought to do as a 'teacher' is to share a supported space where my 'students' become empowered to teach and learn from themselves.
As a radical artist and healer, I have used art, intuition, and independent study to develop this Ayurvedic approach for holistic wellbeing.
The missions behind this therapy are
To encourage us to shift from a performative mindset and state of being, into a present and conscious mentality and embodiment.
To become radically empowered, enabling us to love ourselves and the world around us unconditonally and with active care.
In essence, we are discovering our true being in the present moment.
We creatively and collaboratively design tools to help us achieve the authenticity of our individual and communal selves through movement and expression.
Using an Ayurvedic approach of balancing the attributes in our body; we encourage or oppose our momentary somatic experiences, to embrace our truest needs of the present moment.
Radical movement and expression therapy is a guided experience blending music and movement; challenging us to answer deep questions within ourselves, and learning the dynamic of the internal conversations that are existing within us at all times.
By using both creative and practical tools of music and movement at their simplest and most organic forms, we can construct a system unique to our individual souls teaching us how to nurture our bodies and minds.
This immersive radical practice is about the exploration and acceptance of all of our emotions and all of our senses. Finding how we can honor these things by listening to and learning from them, rather than letting them disempower and disable us.
I am committed to ensure that these sessions are judgment free and non hierarchical.
This 6 week course covers 10 attributes, covering two attributes in each two hour session. The final week is our ‘graduation/celebration’, in the form of a two hour spontaneous ‘co-choregraphy’, where we practice our play together.
Please bring a notebook for journaling prompts and notes, water and comfortable clothes to move in.
