Speed Mating @ The Red Church
Modern dating is hard. Swiping apps, cringey cocktail bars, singles mixers… sometimes it’s just easier to throw your phone aside and meet people face-to-face. That’s where Speed Mating comes in.
We’ve created a relaxed, no-pressure alternative in a friendly local pub with good tunes and a welcoming atmosphere. The aim is romance, but even if the chemistry isn’t instant, connections can still be valuable — and some great friendships start this way.
Here’s how it works: you’ll have seven-minute chats with different people, giving you a chance to connect without the pressure of long conversations or awkward small talk. There’s a short break halfway through to mingle and top up your drink, keeping the night easy and social.
At the end of the night, you’ll fill out a simple form to indicate whether someone is a date or a mate, and mutual matches are shared within 24 hours. All we ask is that you don’t swap contact details during the event — leave the matchmaking to us. Date/date matches also receive a 15% off voucher for their first date at The Red Church.
