Big Fuss' Leaving Home Party at The Sabrina (Bristol Cruising Club)
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Never-heard-before, never-to-be-heard-again, unmissable jazz noise nonsense. What will the experimental improv scene do without Harry Irvine?!?! Bid farewell to beloved mutating cacophony project Big Fuss across three sprawling, skronking sets, including collabs with Biped + Carnivorous Plants and some joyous ensemble racket-making with local no-wave stalwarts. A gig on Friday 15th March. The event starts at 18:30.

It's a bitter sweet moment, this. I will be performing all night in this epic send off show before I go and see what Scotland is all about. I will play together with some of my beautiful friends that have made the Ensemble what it is and, more broadly, make the Bristol music community so vibrant and so precious. Ahhhh I love you all!

The general plan for the evening is as follows:

6.15 BIG FUSS (solo)
Short solo from Harry Irvine.

6.30 DEATH RATTLE
New duo outfit consisting of Harry Irvine performing acoustic noise and mutil umila coughing up gruesome and gorgeous profanities.

7.15-8.15 BIG FUSS, BIPED and CARNIVOROUS PLANTS
A newly curated group for the evening, improvising together Harry Irvine, Ted Glendinning + Finlay Burch of Biped, and Owen Chambers. I'm not going to guess what this will be but I can't wait.

8.30-9.00
THE DOLEBURY WARREN MOVEMENT
With the welcome return of Fred, TDWM return for more ambient, rural sounds, lead by the Purse brothers. Fred Purse, Charlie Purse, Harry Irvine and Jack Simmonds.

9.30-11
THE BIG FUSS ENSEMBLE
The Ensemble gather a final time (for now) in ever familiar/new company to improvise together. Starting the performance will be Harry Irvine, Charlie Purse, Fred Purse, Joe Lyon, Jack Simmonds, Regina Zhelezniakova, Solomon O.B, Celeste Cantor-Stephens, Patrick Foster and Tom Monaghan. At the half way point, any other players from the nights curation may join/leave the Ensemble as they wish. It's gonna be a bit bonkers.

Tickets purchased for the show grant 24 hour membership access to the Bristol Cruising Club. Limited capacity.

If there are tickets left, we will be taking donations on the door. Message me (Harry Irvine) if you would like to come but need help getting a spot.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
