Chef Carmen from The Cooking Flea and Chef Rachel from Greenhouse invite you for a very special dining experience. The ladies have joined forces to bring you an incredible 4-course feast!
The courses prepared by Carmen are inspired by her Calabrian heritage and delicious ingredients from Southern Italy.
The courses prepared by Rachel are reflective of the Greenhouse ethos on food sustainability; using seasonal, local and organic produce.

What to expect:
A sociable and informal evening of plant-based dining at The Scrandit, located at the top of Christmas Steps in Bristol. The dinner will be served around a banquet-style table as this is part of the convivial dining experience we seek to provide. If you wish to dine more privately just let us know; we can accommodate your request to be seated separately.
The bar at The Scrandit will be open to serve drinks to accompany your meal.

Four Course Sample Menu:
Polenta medallions trio with; liquorice whipped "ricotta" & charred asparagus tips, wild garlic almond "cheese" & confit tomatoes, spiced cream "cheese" & charred pears.

Smoked tofu with black garlic & cocoa, charred cauliflower & asparagus, hazelnut & roasted garlic butter, prune & lapsang souchong purée, toasted hazelnuts, herb oil.

Tamari & Chianti wine marinated tempeh, balsamic-grilled Tropea onions, broad beans & peas purée, Mediterranean herbs pane saporito.

Orange & almond cake, orange & rhubarb curd, silken tofu cream, roasted rhubarb, macerated rhubarb, spiced syrup, candied fennel.

Note - The menu is subject to some changes, depending on the availability of produce.

Allergens & Dietary Requirements:
The menu is vegan and gluten-free. We will offer complimentary sourdough and gluten-free bread to accompany your meals.
Allergens in the set menu include soya, nuts, fava beans, sulphites, celery and gluten.
We endeavour to uphold the highest standards in safety and hygiene. However, please note that the food is prepared in kitchens where other ingredients containing all 14 allergens are handled. If you have a severe allergy to any of those, please let us know at the time of booking by emailing Rachel at [email protected]. We may be unable to accommodate dietary requirements if given insufficient notice and for your safety, we reserve the right to refuse your booking if we cannot accommodate your request.

Accessibility:
The venue is located on a steep pedestrian hill in Bristol with steps and cobbles. The dining room is upstairs on the first floor. Please bear this is mind in if you have accessibility requirements.

Seating Arrangements:
- Any tickets purchased together in one order will be seated together.
- If people within your party make separate bookings and wish to be seated together, please contact us at [email protected] and we will accommodate your request.

Children:
The venue is unsuitable for children. Over 14's are welcome, provided they are accompanied by an adult. Please be aware there isn't a specific children's menu therefore a standard ticket will need to be purchased.

Refunds:
We regret that tickets are non-refundable. However, you are able to 're-sell' your tickets on Headfirst Bristol once all tickets for that date have sold out. We find that this works well, as we usually have a waiting list for each event.
