OwM Sounds brings back the bass frequencies to the Social, partnering again with the legendary SubSolar System; along with some incredible selectors, the chance to perform for new DJs and a collaboration with a local business owner.
HELLA is a DJ, Producer & Emcee born in Uganda based in Bristol. In the early days he was raised on Hip Hop which led to him emceeing from a young age. Once he moved to Bristol he delved into the world of production which then opened his world to DJing. His production is primarily Trap, Grime & Left Field Bass orientated with hints of influences of artists such as of Commodo, Flume & Mala seeping through the cracks.
OWM SOUNDS will be taking over the decks as a Collective for the first time. Their love for 140, breaks and garage has brought them together to start the label in 2021, and keeps pushing them in the creation of new tracks and discovery of new artists. They have been providing a safe space for experienced and new DJs to perform, and will be delivering a set to remember.
BOOTLEGR is a DJ and producer whose inspirations stem from the free party music scene; cheesy remixes, massive bass and unrelenting 4x4 is to be expected, bridging the gap between old school warping bassline and more contemporary wobblers. Their sets are full to the brim with remixes that'll make you go "oh yeah I know this one", followed by a hefty set of gun fingers as a classic song or sample is turned on its head into a bassline belter.
Open decks will be running from 8 to 10, available for the winners of the context.
This event’s collaboration is with Nala Arts and Graft, local business owner that provides African inspired clothing and accessories; hand made with environmental consciousness. Don’t miss out on the chance of getting some more colour into your closet!
