BS3 Slow Fashion Fest

Reduce, rewear, repair, repurpose, RESIST.

Join us at the Southville Centre during Sustainable Fashion Week 2026 to celebrate the joy of slow fashion in its many forms. 

We’ll shine a light on how we can reduce what we buy and waste, by rewearing, repairing and repurposing what we already have, all while resisting the extractive fast fashion industry in the name of beauty, creativity, community, and fun. 

Tickets: £5 online in advance (+ fee), £8 on the door.
Child's advance ticket (3-15 years old), £3 (+fee).

All proceeds go towards supporting BS3 Community Development.

What to expect

There will be secondhand shopping and styling with our event partner, St Peter’s Hospice (@sphsouthville), clothes swapping (unisex, adults) with Beth (@bettys.style.stories), and a repair service from Sophie (@threadbunnyalts) - see more below on pricing and how to book your item in advance.

Local creatives will be offering drop-in activities and workshops:

* Screen print on pre-loved t-shirts and totes with Print Paradiso (@printparadiso) – bring your own or buy one from St Peter’s Hospice's rack!\ * Denim corner: Demonstrations and advice on mending jeans with Lauren, and embroidering denim patches with Shika (@shika.otalu)\ * Turn old t-shirts into yarn to crochet something new with Leila (@leilaa81)\ * Print lino-cut patches with Céleste (@celw0rks)\ * Create a piece of jewellery from reclaimed fabric with Rachel (@playfulquilting)\ * Have a go at repairing your clothes with support at Making Mends’ Fix Club (@makingmends)The BS3 Community Café will also be open with a selection of drinks, cakes and snacks.

For kids
Older kids are welcome to join in with all the drop-in activities and workshops. For younger kids, St Peter's Hospice will have a fancy dress box on offer, and there will be a colouring-in table.

What to bring

The BS3 Slow Fashion Fest centres around the idea of the most sustainable items of clothing being the ones you already own... Which means you need to bring them with you!

To make the most of the event, we suggest you bring:

* a clean, good-quality item of clothing you no longer wear to swap for something new to you.\ * item(s) of clothing to repair - either yourself at the drop-in Fix Club, or by Sophie from Thread Bunny (see how to book in your item in advance below)\ * a pre-loved t-shirt, tea towel or tote bag to screen print on\ * jeans to fix and embroider, and old denim to turn into patches\ * worn out t-shirts to turn into yarn for a crochet project.

Please include details and an image of what needs mending, and any specifics about how you’d like it mended (darned, patched, visible, invisible…)
