Black & Creative : Poetry Open Mic & Music Night

Rooted Spaces is a creative events community hosted by 'Radically Rooted', curating meaningful, joyful, and intentional spaces that centre community, connection, Black joy, collective cultural expression, creativity, music, art and poetry as a part of healing, repair and justice for our communities.

Weaving creativity, joy, culture, music, poetry, faith, and rest grounded in love into a space that nurtures healing, builds visibility & creates ease, community & connection for us all.

Our Open Mic & Live Music nights are an invitation into courage, comfort, love, joy, permission, community & visibility in spaces that often make no room for us. A space to share poetry, music, yourself & creativity freely.

More than an event, this is about curating spaces for expression without performance, without expectation, grounded in love, joy, care, healing and intimacy.

Singers, Poets and Creatives....allow your poetry and creativity to COME ALIVE!

In honour of Black History Month in October, our theme is ”Honouring our communities“. This sits in perfect alignment with the vision and purpose of Rooted Spaces.

ALL ARE WELCOME!

For an open mic slot, please choose the appropriate ticket option.
A sign up list will also be available on the night.
