DEARIST
From a sleepy midland town comes a modern British band who’s take on American pioneers like Taking Back Sunday & Rival Schools is echoed in their stunning yet gritty songwriting, whilst maintaining their own unique genre. A phrase as broad as ‘emo’ doesn’t quite encapsulate the scope of the band’s sound, you could associate them with a sense of suburban unrest that brushes uneasily up against the sprawling concrete and claustrophobia of modern inner-city life.
‘It’s impressive how thoroughly Dearist have crafted a sound all of their own... generous helpings of classic emo, grunge and straight-up rock... condensed into a sound all of their own. It’s one that finds itself soaked in brilliance throughout.’ Luke Nuttall, The Soundboard.
We draw your attention to the evidence gathered by The Underground regarding the death of Violet. This erudite inquest paints this world anew.
Your life will soon change forever. Let us show you a world of deceit in which only you see truth. Let us show you a world of hate in which only you see love.
First you take a guitar. Then a bass or two. The drums assemble before the extra bass is put away.
Take a seat, as thunderous bass rumbles across the room, piercing through dense clouds of harmonious guitar chords. Yes. Your ears are being tickled by the melodies. The ear worms are burrowing deep into your consciousness, the screeching vocals carve new neural pathways that are erasable only with more songs by Three Dead.
‘I was pleasantly surprised, they’re... alright.’ Lee Fowler, The Plaza Reviews
