We're delighted to welcome back Xaman X. A truly outstanding new project from members of Midnight Ritual, Worm Disco Club and Panther Panther.
Xaman X is Bristol’s first Tropical Bass genre. Combining live electronics with traditional Colombian instrumentation and outstanding latin percussion, we ride the thin line between old and new. Our sets are ritualistic music for the modern era where bamboo marimbas and charangos glide effortlessly over FM arpeggiators and otherworldly UFO sounds, the gaita’s calling dances with bells, tamboras, congas and 808 kicks to keep your soul moving on this sonic rocket into outer space with the power of a super nova! Your Xamans for this journey are Jose Barco on guitars and acoustics, Jackson Lapes on percussion and Pablo Villierezz (aka Panther Panther!) on electronics.
