Desert Storm

Oxford based riff hounds Desert Storm have been making a name for themselves since they formed in 2007. From the beginning the band have worked hard...with 3 albums and a demo and relentless touring of the UK & Europe with the likes of Karma To Burn, Nashville Pussy, Peter Pan Speedrock, Honky (ft members of Down/Melvins/Butthole Surfers) as well as support slots to the likes of Orange Goblin, Red Fang, American Head Charge and festival appearances at The Bulldog Bash, The Desertfest, Brisfest & Roadkill (BEL).

January 26th is the worldwide release date for the new record'Omniscient' (Blindsight records/Secret law records) which features 10 brand new tracks full of colossal riffs and pure rock fury, but with some moments of folk and psychedelia. The album was engineered by Jamie Dodd (Orange Goblin) and is the follow up to 2013's acclaimed'Horizontal Life' record. Desert Storm embark on a 2 week European tour to promote the record, support on UK dates from good friends Mother Corona. You can read some press below for'Omniscient'

Mother Corona

Support on the UK run from Didcot's Psychedelic heavy stoner rockers Mother Corona.

If Hawkwind and Black Sabbath got messed up together in a studio, they might have sounded much like this trippy goodness.

Thorun

http://www.thorun.bandcamp.com

Straddling that murky grey area between Stoner, Sludge and Doom Metal, Thorun offer up a big fat slab of instrumental riff worship. It is unclear whether Thorun are an instrumental band by design or simply through the lack of suitable singers in their part of the world. Whatever the reasoning, they are one of the rare bands that just make this kind of thing work.

You have to catch these guys live for the full experience! Thorun have supported the likes of Cough, Grand Magus, Gurt and Karma To Burn. Their first EP'Reprise 2010' picked up some serious plaudits from the underground music press and the second release'Chorus of Giants' was greeted with even greater enthusiasm. The band are now working on a third record.

Limb

http://www.limbtheband.bandcamp.com

Limb are a stoner-doom band from London, signed to New Heavy Sounds records. They've just released their second album, produced by Russ Russell of Napalm Death fame.

The album has been receiving excellent reviews -- Kerrang gave it four Ks and had this to say:

"Londoners Limb are the sort of band for whom riffs come first, oxygen a distant second... Marvellous! "

VultureHound magazine had this to say:

"Limb are a band in perfect tune with each other, sounding like one of the tightest outfits going. Terminal stands up as one of the metal albums of the year. "
