Goodbye The Sunset (11.00pm Downstairs)

guitar riffs to bring a very bright sound that aims to please people who

hear it.

With an essence of pop punk, fast paced songs, this

promising young band have a full repertoire ready to unleash to the

world whilst they aim to have a successful spell in the world of music.

Cassette Culture (10.30pm Upstairs)

Nine Plan Failed (9.30pm Upstairs))

Upon first listen to their single'Turn The Radio Up! ', a casual

listener might mistake nineplanfailed as just another poppy, upbeat

'indie-rock' band. But buried beneath those catchy hooks and sing along

choruses is a sombre message about the possible consequences of ignoring

child abuse.

And so it is with the Swansea-based post-punk

outfit. Like the best of the bands from their scene, nineplanfailed are

not concerned with following trends, but with crafting their own brand

of spiky, hooky guitar pop with dark edges and brooding, cynical lyrics.

With an arsenal of wickedly smart, aggressive, hook filled music

behind them, nineplanfailed released their debut EP with Death Monkey

Records in 2012, and are currently recording their new EP with acclaimed

producer Bobby Bloomfield (Does it offend you, yeah?).

Lesser Known Character (9.00pm Downstairs)

Poundshop Life (8.30pm Upstairs)

Poundshop Life play spiky, jangly, infectious but curable pop songs reflecting on whatever needs reflecting on.

Sounding like the outcast and genetically modified cousins of Ian Dury,

Elvis Costello and Barbara Windsor, Poundshop Life play their own brand

of"nearly new wave" music - immediate, cheery tunes with bitter and

twisted lyrics and happy endings. Cheap and cheerful, and very good

live.

Poundshop Life are from Bristol, playing regular gigs around the area.

The Poundshop Life EPs 'Masking Tape Memories' and'All expense

spared' and'Stuff' can be downloaded from iTunes and Amazon or streamed

on Spotify

thing else, beer, friends and ska-punk. The LarryFish Experiment bring

you all three in abundance in a way that only three lower middle class

Bristolians can. With influences ranging from Reel Big Fish and Less

Than Jake to Napalm Death and System Of A Down, The LarryFish Experiment
