Considered as one of the greats of the European stoner rock scene, MARS RED SKY have gained international recognition thanks to a unique sound imprint based on thick infectious grooves and melodic aerial guitar riffs.
This is truly a one of a kind experience, somewhere between the heaviness of doom and the haunting relics of 70’s psych pop, the Mars Red Sound first intrigues, then irremediably impels the masses to gather into a cosmic ritual of solar burning fuzz and reverberated atmospheres.
Driven by the huge success of their eponymous debut record; the Bordelais were quickly invited to play on the largest European stages alongside Kyuss Lives!, Dinosaur Jr, Sleep, and renowned festivals such as Eurockéennes de Belfort (Fr), Roadburn (NL), London and Berlin Desertfest, Sziget Festival (Hun), SXSW (USA), leading them to play in more than 20 countries.
2016 will be a pivotal year for MARS RED SKY: the recording of their new EP ‘Providence’ (2016), recorded with Gabriel Zander in their hometown Bordeaux to high critical acclaim, and also a new full-length album "Apex III (Praise for the Burning Soul)", which is due for release on February 29th.
A combination of ballsy blues rock and heavy riffs.
Elephant Tree are a relatively new band who, after cutting their teeth in the London metal scene, have established a place within the current growing Stoner Metal genre. Having moved down and taken in many many gigs and shows the guys have been influenced to start making their own music. Linking up with heavy riff veteran Pete in early January and Riley 'Sitar Wizard' MacIntyre soon after, things are snowballing quickly with more songs in the pipelines.
While the style is difficult to class under any one particular sub-genre of Metal it has been most likened to Doom Metal and Stoner Rock however many people have their own classifications ranging from Blues to Prog.
Playing their debut gig to a great crowd in April 2014 which lead to the demand for the recording of their first EP, Theia was released in September by Magnetic Eye Records. Now an established gigging band the guys are booking in performances all over the UK with sights set to lands beyond!

In the deadly cold winter of 2014, Black Lung emerged from the underbelly of Baltimore with unprecedented volume. A union of Adam Bufano, Elias Mays Schutzman (of The Flying Eyes) and multi-instrumentalist Dave Cavalier, the trio toes the line between sonic pain and melodic bliss. With influences ranging from the raw blues of The White Stripes to the desert riffage of Queens Of The Stone Age, Black Lung seeks to create a sound that is as soulful as it is heavy.
After releasing their self-titled debut (Grimoire Records/Noisolution) and being named "Best New Band of 2014" by the Baltimore City Paper, they embarked on a three week tour of Europe in the spring of 2015, centered around their performance at the Rockpalast Crossroads Festival (filmed and recorded for German national TV). Black Lung are now headed into the studio with producer and ex-Jawbox frontman J. Robbins (The Sword, Clutch) to begin work on their second album...
Brackish are a thrillingly unique instrumental post-punk psych band featuring alumni of The Liftmen, Zun Zun Egui, This Is The Kit and Phantom Limb.
At the core of the music are tight arrangements combined with improvisation, featuring interplay between two distinctive guitar voices. Each tune’s clear conception tells a story - changes of mood and rhythm add a compelling narrative to a vital and visceral sound. The broad vocabulary of the music - psychedelic, metal, jazz, kraut … - conjures echoes from Steve Reich to Sabbath, Can and Tortoise.
'It’s an album that is at once joyous and free yet, with a slight time signature change or introduction of a certain guitar affect, can make you feel queasy and uncomfortable. You can never second guess it or assume you know where the songs are heading as its relentless riffing can suddenly morph from Sabbath sludge to Television crispness.' - See more at: http://louderthanwar.com/the-brackish-big-guys-album-review/#sthash.IAkf12qr.dpuf
