Juffage is Jeff T. Smith, a sound artist and multi-instrumentalist from Leeds UK, via Chicago, Illinois.
Through relentless touring in the U.S., U.K., and Europe, Jeff has established a reputation for his sonically powerful and physically captivating live shows.
His debut album'Semicircle' was released to widespread critical acclaim from the Guardian, NME, Loud & Quiet, and Drowned in Sound. A recording enthusiast at heart, Jeff has spent time in some of Chicago's finest studios including Electrical Audio (w/ Steve Albini) and Engine Studios (w/ Brian Deck).
Currently finishing a follow-up LP, he has collaborated with Katie Harkin (Sky Larkin, Wild Beasts, Sleater-Kinney), Tom Evans (Vessels) and Jenna Isherwood (Invisible Cities). Previously, he shared the stage with artists such as Dosh, Balmorhea, Mount Eerie, Cloud Nothings, Portico Quartet, Three Trapped Tigers, and Nat Baldwin (Dirty Projectors). After an extended period away writing, Jeff is returning to gigs with bags full of new material in 2015.
Likened to Wild Beasts, Slowdive and Arcade Fire, Wasuremono's sound is described as"Rich sky-scraping pop with beautiful melancholic lyrics......Bringing together aspects of pop, indie and dreamscape. " Their ever developing live show incorporates intricate guitar styles and soundscapes, synths played by hands and feet and choral harmonies.
Within a year of the band forming their music has been played on BBC Radio 2 and BBC6 Music. They are currently recording their debut album with Grammy-award winning duo Ian Dowling (Catfish and The Bottlemen, Bombay Bicycle Club, Adele) and Guy Massie (Manic Street Preachers, Palma Violets).
Formed in the spring of 2013, Charivari are a Bath based band who create dark and brooding atmospheres lilted by heavenly melodies that break assunder into peak level noise mayhem and intense crescendos.
