on Saturday 8th March. The event starts at 20:30.
"The Henry Slim String Band is a quartet of Bristol-based musicians borrowed from established local bands such as The Slimline Shufflers, Ponchartrain, and The Buffalo Gals.
As the name would suggest, string band music is their thing, played lovingly with acoustic guitar, mandolin, dbl-bass & harmonica, and wearing on their sleeve such influences as Doc Watson, Hank Williams, Bill Monroe, The Louvin Brothers, and other luminaries of the folk, country & blues canon."
Pete Dunn: acoustic guitar, vocals
Stig Manley: mandolin, backing vocals
Henry Slim: harmonica, vocals
Rick Holbrook: dbl bass
