The People's Comedy began in 2018 with two simple aims: paying the comedians that it platformed whilst providing a stage for those acts with some kind of a message (think counter-culture, alternative, original).

We began at PRSC, Stokes Croft, then Red Lion, Redfield... We've tried things which haven't worked, along with lots that have, and we're so happy to be running a night at The Star, Fishponds: surely one of the best pubs in Bristol, and certainly East Bristol.

We will be using The Star's dedicated outdoor stage to utilize this increasingly beautiful, hot weather. Note: we'll run inside if the weather isn't suitable.
