Thursday is basically the new Friday, right? What The Funny?! comes to you every second Thursday of the month, bringing you an evening full of comedy and laughter, all with some of the funniest comedians we could muster up who'll ensure you fall off your seat howling. Hosted by Bath New Act Competition Finalist, Jasmine Morton.
ACTS
- David Hoare: David is a musical comedian who performs sharp silly songs with with and flair! Winner of the Audience Favourite Prize at the Musical Comedy Awards 2021.
- Priya Hall: Priya Hall is a stand up comedian and writer. She has featured on so many BBC programmes, we can't count. Priya has also written and starred in a new BBC 2 Wales pilot, Beena and Amrit.
- Leila Navabi: Described as 'the actual future of comedy' (LMAOnaise), her television and radio stand-up credits include Live at Aberystwyth Pier (BBC), Stand-up Sesh (BBC), Stand Up in My House (BBC) and The Leak (BBC). She is bilingual, with Welsh Language credits including Ffyrnig (S4C) and Ni y Nawdegau (BBC Cymru).
- Dani Johns: Born and bred Bristolian Dani Johns is described as a "smart, clever pocket rocket of a comedian" whose "sassy delivery captivates every audience member". Dani is an instantly likable act with an impressive and increasing list of accolades (including BBC New Comedy Award, Funny Women Stage Award & Komedia Bath New Act of the Year Award).
- Jessie Nixon: BBC New Comedy Award Semi-finalist 2021 and Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Finalist 2021, Jessie Nixon is an upcoming comic delivering dynamic and erudite jokes with the confidence and sincerity of a drunk girl in a Wetherspoons toilet. Funny Women finalist 2022, Union Jack Radio “one to watch” 2022.
- Liv Drake: Presenting our debut act, Liv Drake! They possess endless positivity - they're bubbly, crude, rude and everything you've ever hoped for.
