on Saturday 25th June. The event starts at 21:00.
Red Ray is a Bristol-based Alternative Country band of four. All self-taught and musically adept, this quartet consists of Newcastle-born Ray Lannon, Berwick-born Cameron Cheek, Stewie Passmore who grew up in the Middle East and Italian-sensation Giuseppe La Rezza on drums.
Ray was the winner at the Bristol regional finals at Open Mic UK 2011. Ray and Cam studied Performing Arts and Acting at Uni. Stewie's a two-time Art School drop out, but it's only because his love of bass-playing takes top priority. As for Giuseppe, they asked him, but English isn't his strong-suit, but his flare on the drums has given this band an edge that is unmatched. Currently unsigned and redefining Modern Country Music, they released their debut album 'One For The Road' and their single entitled 'Back on Track' was serially featured on the local radio station, Somer Valley FM. The Boys now host thier own Radio show called 'THE RED RAYdio SUPER SUNDAY HANGOVER SHOW' on Sundays 12pm-2pm on www.baseradiobristol.co.uk
Most recently Red Ray came first in the 2015, Bristol-based competition known as 'Musicians On The Run' winning by a landslide through public voting. But it doesn't end there! The band have been adding to their roster and have been collaborating with some of Bristols finest artists; including an all-girl accapella group, a couple of saxaphone players, a trombone player, a piano and a banjo player.
Who will be playing along-side Red Ray under the new banner; Red Ray & The Reprobates.
Come down for some good tunes, vibes, soul food and beer.
