The Atomic RAYS at The Tunnels
See event details

A gig held at The Tunnels on Friday 30th September. The event starts at 19:30pm.

Ten years ago The Atomic Rays hit the Bristol music scene like an invasion from Mars. Playing a completely unexpected selection of covers they turned pub-rock into an art form. With their flamboyance, theatre and energy they quickly became one of the most popular acts on the circuit and are regarded by many as the most entertaining band in the city. The Rays will celebrate their 10th anniversary with a show at the Tunnels Friday 30th September. There’ll be guest appearances including former guitarist Ray Mondo and the debut of the Fay Rays on backing vocals. They’re always unpredictable so you can expect the unexpected but accomplished face-melting rock is pretty much guaranteed. It’ll also be a fundraiser for Cath Lewis, a regular follower trying to raise money for treatment for the rare and debilitating condition of Myelodysplastic Syndrome. So it should be a fun night in a very good cause. “BEST BAND EVER!” – R1’s EDITH BOWMAN “BEST BAND IN BRISTOL” – IN A JIFFY! “SPECIAL” – STATUS PROMOTIONS “BLOODY GOOD” – Bristolrock.co.uk “RETRO AND COOL” - www.viewbristol.co.uk “AS GOOD AS THEY SAY THEY ARE!” – PAUL D
