CAROLINE BIRD
Caroline Bird is an English poet and playwright born in Leeds, 1986. She published her debut poetry collection at just 15, and has since built a body of work celebrated for its wit, imagery, and voice.
Her collection The Air Year won the Forward Prize for Best Collection; her latest, Ambush at Still Lake, was published in 2024. Caroline is also an accomplished playwright, has been shortlisted for the George Devine Award and created work for a variety of stages Simon Armitage calls her poetry "spring-loaded, funny, sad, and deadly”.
