A
event
held at The Wardrobe Theatre
on Sunday 15th February. The event starts at 19:00.
The poems in this collection aim to unearth the home inside oneself despite overwhelm, dysphoria and the odd leaky roof. Friezewood wades through the quagmire of queerness, neurodivergence and adulthood back to the forests and fields of home, searching for belonging in different landscapes.
Eryn will be joined by a line-up of wonderful performers, including poet Aish Humphreys and singer-songwriter Jessi Mac.
Eryn McDonald is a poet, performer and theatre maker from the South West. They have performed at various events across Bath, Bristol and further afield, including NozStock Festival, Soft Butch and Mind Over Slammer. They were part of the Apples & Snakes ‘Future Voices’ commission in 2023, creating a short poetry video entitled Murmuration. They are the writer of solo spoken word show She Doesn’t Live Here Anymore (2023) and are the co-creator of theatre show Girlhood on T (2024) with Aish Humphreys.
Milk Poetry selects the finest, freshest poets from the UK and beyond to produce the most nourishing and eclectic spoken word bonanza you could ever hope for, curated and hosted by Malaika Kegode (Outlier)
