John Hegley & Guests | Poetry & Comedy at The Wardrobe Theatre
Tickets available from thewardrobetheatre.com

A event held at The Wardrobe Theatre on Sunday 20th April. The event starts at 19:30.

John Hegley John is an English performance poet, comedian, musician and songwriter. He has a reputation for wry and surreal humour, mostly performance-oriented or designed for younger audiences, and often sung or accompanied by music he himself plays; his material incorporates "a mix of anecdotes, jokes, idiosyncratic observations, confessions and surreal narratives". Kid Carpet Bristol legend Kid Carpet is a champion of the lost and broken. An advocate for silliness, social change and for doing things differently. Like a weird mix of Ivor Cutler, Gorillaz and The Fall, his sets are a ridiculous shamanic experience with a big heart and big beats, a punk rock attitude and battery operated wonky wisdom. George Chopping George Chopping lives in Cornwall with his wife Rachel and his cat Badger. He currently works as a groundskeeper, and has been employed by Sainsbury’s as a shelf replenishment technician, by the Savoy Hotel as a commis waiter and by the Royal family as a footman. But his first job was doing a paper round for Mrs Munro for 6 years (1990-1996).

Entry requirements: no age restrictions (under 18s to be accompanied by an adult over 21yrs, 1:1 ratio)
