The UK's finest stand-up comedy talent comes to The Wardrobe Theatre to try out new material ahead of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Mark Steel
A heavyweight political comedian of a Marxist slant, Mark Steel has performed as a stand-up comedian on the British comedy circuit and on national tours since the'80s. He has made appearances on Have I Got News For You and Question Time and written and performed The Mark Steel Solution and The Mark Steel Lecture for Radio 4, hosted Radio 5's Extra Time and produced the best selling book Reasons to be Cheerful.

Angela Barnes
After a career in health and social care, Angela Barnes decided to realise a long held ambition and give comedy a go. Within a couple of years she had won the 2011 BBC New Comedy Award and became a finalist at the 2011 Latitude Festival New Act of the Year competition. Since 2011, Angela and her witty world view have been catapulted onto numerous radio and television shows including appearances on BBC Three's Russell Howard's Good News, Russell Kane's Whistle Stop Tour (BBC Radio 2), and BBC Radio 4's The Now Show.
