A event held at The Wardrobe Theatre on Wednesday 12th October. The event starts at 19:30.

‘The following summer she met Danelito. They dated. Got engaged. Got married. Became a wife. Got pregnant. Became a mother. Became a grandmother. Became Blanca.’

Mariana is a Colombian woman. She’s single, career-driven, and lives in London. Blanca is a Colombian woman. She’s been a wife for 75 years, a mother of nine, a grandmother to 40, and has always been home. Both are passionate about living and loving. But, as Mariana returns home to Colombia, she is abruptly confronted by the expectations of her family, culture, and traditions. By embarking on a fantastical journey through her grandmother Blanca’s life, Mariana discovers how much their paths as Latin American women diverge and cross.

Through exhilarating movement, music, and language, The Two of Us creates a landscape of Latin American families and traditions and explores the universal beauty, joy, and pain of women communicating across generations.

“Both entertaining and thought-provoking, and truly achieves its aim to make the audience reflect on their own identity, and how the life choices they make, and their heritage, make them who they are.”
