Slapstick & Slaughter confronts the utter absurdity of war in 40 surreal, hilarious and poignant minutes. Two masters of physical theatre bounce, sing, slap and stretch an audience's patience to breaking point as they distil 35 years of experience into a playful, trouser-wrenchingly funny and powerful show. Inspired by the barbaric chaos of World War One and the nonsensical Dada art movement that sprung from it, Slapstick & Slaughter splatters big ideas onto a small canvas.
“Brilliantly conceived! It demonstrates real understanding of the personal challenges people faced during WW1 and how it was expressed in the art of the Dada period. It was fab, so clever, I laughed until tears were coming down my cheeks.”
