A remarkable and otherworldly film from landlocked Lesotho.
Mantoa an elderly woman with a rebel spirit, finds herself alone in opposing plans to flood her village to make way for a dam.
As her life draws to a close, she is faced with the inevitable march of capitalism but her will to ignite a spirit of resistance and resilience in her community is strong.
Tradition, politics and spiritual belief are at the heart of this extraordinarily powerful film.
This screening will be followed by a Q&A curated by Afrika Eye
