Rooted in Bristol at The Watershed
See event details for ticket registration

A event held at Watershed on Sunday 14th November. The event starts at 16:00.

Rooted in Bristol (2021) is a documentary celebrating the contribution that people of African heritage have made to Bristol’s green spaces.

Specifically, those creating and sustaining kitchen gardens across the allotment communities in Bristol over many decades.

Exploring individual histories and stories, this film raises the question as to who has access to green spaces and what are the barriers that exist to obtaining that access.

This screening will be followed by a Q&A curated by Afrika Eye featuring members of the Rooted in Bristol team.
