— The White Bear
Cannabidiol (CBD) has been gaining popularity over the past year but what really is it and can it help you?
time:19:00
price: Headfirst Tickets

Information:

What really is CBD? Can it help you with an illness or pain? How is it made and where can one get it from? Why is the UK the biggest grower of medical marijuana and why cant it be used here?

With so much mis information out there about what CBD is and where it is from Oli Genn-Bash is using his encyclopaedic knowledge to deliver the truth. Delving into the science behind the endocannabinoid system, the history of CBD's usage, dispelling fact from fiction and available to answer your questions.

Cannabidiol (CBD) has been gaining popularity over the past year, partly due to people looking to find alternative treatments for certain conditions, and also the need for a more well-balanced lifestyle.

The natural world provides many beneficial compounds but this area can often lack proper information and the benefit of many plants can sometimes be overhyped or people get drawn into health fads. There are some plants however which show a lot of promise in treating various conditions with a lot of strong evidence to back their use.

The different medicinal properties of the hemp/cannabis plant have been know about for roughly 3000 years, largely with a focus on the psychoactive compounds such as THC, which have now been recognised as having huge therapeutic potential.

This talk will however focus on the non-psychoactive compound CBD and the role it plays in working with and supplementing the body's own internal system to help manage healing and provide overall general well-being. There will be a group discussion/Q&A at the end of the talk. If you would rather message your questions before hand to be read out by one of the event runners please message the TalkBox team.
