“Following on from their 2015 exhibition Recursions, Sol is an intriguing exhibition that casts a literal light on the alterations made to our landscape. Each piece is centred around a rock altered with cut facets, paintings and engravings with scored grids contouring the surfaces. This is replicated in plaster and mirrored in reflective materials to present alternates to the original. Within these landscapes, patterned circuit boards and silicon solar cells cluster in formations that evoke the past, present and future of human influence.”

“Come and spend a night in the company of the crone at the edge of the village, the hermit, the sage, the shaman, the manipulative guru, the Zen monk, the High Priestess, Baba Yaga, Yoda, Iron Hans, Circe... They're sometimes wild, often wise, and whether you should take their advice remains to be seen.”

And then this year he goes and mops up stars and awards and sells out the entire Edinburgh run (plus the extended Soho Theatre run that followed) with the incredible show Joz Norris Is Dead. Long Live Mr. Fruit Salad, which won the prestigious Comedians' Choice Award for Best Show.”

“It is well known that Jamaica has a long history of pioneering sounds – from mento, ska, reggae, dub, roots and way beyond with many of its internationally celebrated musicians spawning from that great musical institution The Alpha Boys School under the tutelage of Sister Mary Ignatius Davis. Tonight Cleveland and his band will be celebrating this rich musical hotbed, inspired by record labels and producers such as Studio One, Coxsone Dodd, TuffGong, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, King Tubby and artists such as Don Drummond, Ernest Ranglin, Barratt Brothers, Jackie Mittoo, Leroy ‘Horsemouth’ Wallace, Alton Elis…the list goes on and on!”
