It's party time people and we have a special night planned for this one. We are going to be working in collaboration with a new night Bristol that will be launching in September Luv'd Up...err wonder what that means ;) We've met these guys, they love to party, and THEY KNOW HOW TO thats the important thing. They wont stop going on about how people in the 90s knew how to party and how their gonna bring back shell suits and the mullet. Their jaws seem to always be moving even when theyre not talking and they always feel the need to give unnaturally sweaty hugs. Don't let that fool you, these crazy muthafunkers throw a banging party with the best old school bangers to make you feel the...ummm Luv!!!

GOLDFFINCH: A duo from Brussells, Belgium, the first ever goldFFinch recordings gained immediate support from scene luminaries like Boddika, Loefah, Jackmaster, and most notably Mary Anne Hobbs who invited them to provide and exclusive mix for her world renowned innovative underground electronic radio show on XFM and called them"one of my favourite musical producer collectives of 2011".
Yoann and Gilles, the duo behind goldFFinch, have let themselves be inspired by current movements in the electronic music and have worked hard to redefine it in their own unique way. One of their trademarks is stuttering vocal samples worked indecipherably into their own funky rhythm and intertwined within the groove of their tracks, a skill built from their formative years listening to Hip Hop. With this vocal technique as a distinct signature laid on their tracks, the core of their music brings together the best of the German Electronic sound, the funkiest of the first Detroit Techno wave and the cutting edge music production of the 22nd century together in one funk fueled musical style.

OLLIE MACFARLANE: Luv'd Up resident DJ has had a massive year in the studio. Whether it's his crazily chopped up vocals, silky smooth use of synths or naughty little hidden sub-basses be sure its gonna be banger after banger with him. Inspired by garage, house and trance, the man not only knows how to put a track together but put one after the other to make some real"LUVly" DJ sets.
HIPHOPPAPOTAMUS: The Hiphoppapotamus dwells and grazes deep within Bristol's Urban Jungle. Due to his insatiable appetite to dance and to find a mate he can be found shaking his rump and ginger hair around most of the watering holes on Stokes Croft's every friday; or running around naked in the Big Chill Bar. If you spot the animal please do not be alarmed or inform the authorities... he is wanted indecent exposure.
Outside the time he spends overcoming the hardships of minimum-wage inner-city survival, he can be found inside his beat lair meticulously chopping up old Soul, Jazz, Funk and Reggae records and infusing them with modern production to craft his own tasty Funk-Soul-Brother party vibe. The happy hippo is always looking for new friends to play with and new musicians/vocalists to record.. drop him a cheeky message ;) Having just scored his first official release on Tru:Funk records it is set to be a big year for him with the Tophat crew
