Come and have a go at playing the Balinese Gamelan, an ornate set of percussion instruments, comprising of bronze gongs and metallophones from Indonesia. Traditionally played at Hindu temple ceremonies, the music is sweet-sounding, enchanting and repetitive, often accompanying dance and trance. In the drop in session we will be looking at learning a simple traditional piece and getting to know the different instruments and their playing technique. All are welcome to join.
There will be an intermediate class immediately after which you are welcome to stay for as well.
