“For more than 50 years Martin Carthy has been one of folk music's greatest innovators, one of its best loved, most enthusiastic and, at times, most quietly controversial of figures. His skill, stage presence and natural charm have won him many admirers, not only from within the folk scene, but also far beyond it.”

“Splurging semi-sensical noise, Stanlaey is currently a quartet led by Bethany Stenning (vocals, electric guitar) with Ben Holyoake (Bass), Naomi Hill (violin) and Oli Cocup (drums) where the band's soundscape has developed in a diverse genre pool of folk/jazz, being compared to artists such as Kate Bush and Dirty Projectors. The band takes you on a journey through ethereal ambient vocal/violin duets, to progressive rock jams. Expect fairy tale chamber pop for the 21st Century.”
