“Palestinians and Israelis have one indisputable thing in common: they are all Semites. Featuring recently gathered testimonies from Palestinians and Israelis, Semites explores the challenges of living an ordinary life under extraordinary circumstances, of having dialogue with the other, of loss and hope, of staying alive. In a world of echo chambers, fake news and fear, we invite you to leave your preconceptions at the door, and open your eyes, ears and heart.”

“Steve Parkhouse hosts tonight's Jelli Records Open Mic. The one where the audience listen and you never know who you might meet and what it could lead to... And being the first Monday of the month Lucie's Creperie will be there with Yummy French Food to enjoy. (Free to performers)”

“Two of Scotland’s most revered multi-instrumentalists, Mairearad Green (accordion and bagpipes) and Anna Massie (guitar, banjo, fiddle) are a truly captivating duo, providing a highly energetic performance with an instantly warm and friendly stage presence. Having played alongside each other for over ten years, they revel in an intuitive approach to each other’s musical ideas and interpretations, and an “almost telepathic communication” on stage (Hi-Arts), effortlessly showcasing the fruits of duo partnership to the highest level , creating “music more than the sum of just two parts” (The Scotsman).”

“You won’t have heard a drum kit sound like Mister Chiminyo’s before. Thanks to some nifty gizmology he’s linked it into a laptop so that, as well as making clever dubstep-style beats each snap of a drumstick also triggers electronic sound. No loops or backing tracks - just supersmart playing that grooves like crazy.”

“Simply calling Curtis Harding a “soul man” feels reductive. Yes, his music is undoubtedly soulful and his songwriting is both evocative and provocative, but there’s more to his music than the stock imagery the label conjures. Harding’s voice conveys pain, pleasure, longing, tenderness, sadness and strength—a full gamut of emotions. Yet still, “soul man” seems too simple a description for musician like Harding, a man who has lived multiple lives as a musician, participated in different scenes, and brought all those varied sounds and experiences together to carve out his own unique niche. The culmination of his experimentation is his latest masterwork, Face Your Fear.”
