Do you like forward thinking folk music coupled with trashy dance beats?
First things first – Yoko Pwno is pronounced yoe – koe – poe – noe. It rhymes with Yoko Ono, or Loco Bono, if you prefer.

Not everyone calls us that though. The BBC called us ‘one of Scotland’s most loved live acts’. Spiral Earth called us ‘trippy and pleasingly eclectic’. The National even said that we gave traditional music ‘a new and infectious energy’.

To our friends and family, we are called Helen, Lewis, Lissa, Calum, Dan, Gary and Sam – seven friends on a mission to blow you away with a fusion of self penned folk tunes, songs, and the kind of banging, wonky dance beats that soundtrack Edinburgh’s underground club scene.
