ABOUT HUSTLE
---
Hustle was born during the disco era of 1970s New York in the Latin communities. It has roots in Mambo and influences from Salsa, Cha-Cha and Swing moves from that decade’s club scene.
Typically danced to disco, funk, and latin-inspired music, nowadays this extends to other genres like hip-hop, pop, house and anything sitting within a steady 100-125bpm.
ROBERTA
---
Roberta Liakaite has been dancing Hustle for nearly a decade, and is one of Hustling London’s instructors and an active community member for many years.
Travelling all over the world to enrich her knowledge of this partner dance, she is ever-passionate about learning and sharing its evolving styles.

The workshop will cover the principles of lead and follow connection, followed by a breakdown of Hustle count and fundamental footwork, ending with a mini routine to practise and play with towards the end of the session.
We will be switching partners throughout the workshop, and we welcome you to bring someone to buddy-up with instead if that would better suit your flow.
