Rest under a shady tree and take up your pencils!

On Thursday 20th August, come down to the University of Bristol Botanic Gardens for evening of sketching and creatively exploring some of the city's long-lived trees.

We'll wander beneath the branches, drawing and imagining the histories and memories of some very old trees - from a tightly coiled twisted hazel, to a giant 400 year old oak.

This session is relaxed and beginner-friendly! Alison will guide and facilitate, offering prompts and moments to rest, refresh and have a chat.

Drawing materials provided, although you are welcome to bring your own if you'd prefer.

Alison Jones is an independent community engagement practitioner, co-producer of Friendly Neighbourhood Films & Research Associate at UWE. Alison has coordinated and facilitated community events, including a drawing meet-up, children's holiday club and creative workshops for refugees and asylum seekers.
