Earth Din at Victoria Rooms
Event Cancelled

A gig on Sunday 26th April. The event starts at 12:00.

Voyage with your ears and imagination as Bristol University Loudspeaker Orchestra explores music inspired by Nature's violence and tenderness and longed-for resilience in gloriously immersive multichannel sound. The programme includes commissioned work by rising star Emma Margetson, combining sounds picked up from the ether with synthesis and transformative sonic invention, and Shirley Pegna (field recordings, cello) and Dominic Lash (double bass), whose Earth Din project stems from recordings of earth activity captured via a seismometer through the stone of the Wills Tower in Bristol University. These recordings will be experienced via a handful of subwoofers and spatially placed speakers, accompanied by Lash’s double bass, and Pegna’s cello.
