Chaps & Straps is getting a festive twist! Join us at Wake The Tiger Amazement Park for a joyful LGBTQIA+ celebration of queer country, community and dancing.

Come along and explore the wonderfully weird world of Wake The Tiger, taking in the park’s immersive adventures before we gather together for a festive edition of Chaps & Straps. Once we’ve explored, we’ll hit the dance floor and you’ll be guided through a series of fun, beginner-friendly line dances set to your favourite queer country anthems.

No previous dance experience is needed — just bring yourself and a willingness to have a good time!

Dress up if you feel like it – think cowboy hats, denim, leather, festive sparkle – or just come as you are. Please wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and ready to dance.

This event is created by and for LGBTQIA+ people. We especially want to welcome our Trans, Intersex and Non-Binary siblings — your presence is valued and celebrated here. Our dances are taught with options to suit different gender expressions and are designed to help you connect with your body through joy, movement and community. Explore the park. Find your people.
