Jeremy Thomas in one world's leading independent film producers. His C.V. covers an extraordinary range of distinctive films from The Shout (Jerzy Skolimowski), Bad Timing (Nic Roeg) in the 70s and 80s through to the recent Pina (Wim Wenders) and A Dangerous Method (David Cronenberg). He has worked with directors who read like a'Who's Who' of world cinema: in addition to the above he has worked with Nagisa Oshima, Bernardo Bertolucci, Terry Gilliam, Takashi Miike, Stephen Frears and Phillip Noyce, amongst others.
He has also helped develop the career of first-time feature filmmakers such as Jonathan Glazer with Sexy Beast and David Mackenzie with Young Adam.
He is currently in post-production on Jim Jarmusch's Only Lovers Left Alive, starring Tilda Swinton, Tom Hiddleston and Mia Wasikowska.
With his Recorded Picture Company Thomas has achieved that most remarkable feat in the film business: longevity and integrity. This in conversation will provide an insight into the hard earned experience of this most respected of film industry figures. He will share his influences and inspirations and also some of the"inner workings" and armour that has sustained him at the top level of film producing.
