A gig on Friday 24th July. The event starts at 20:00.

The exhilarating latest from Mia Hansen-Love (Father of My Children, Goodbye First Love) traces the rise of the'French touch' generation of house music - one that spawned superstars like Daft Punk and Cassius - from the 1990s to the present day. A semi-biographical drama, the story is told through a portrait of the pulsing nights, bleary-eyed days and many loves of Parisian DJ Paul (F lix de Givry).

With a narrative spanning two decades, we see Paul drawn to the soulful rhythms of Chicago's garage house movement and forming a duo with his best friend. They plunge into the scene, dropping out of daytime society in their all-encompassing pursuit of beats and bass and emotional and pharmaceutical highs. Others in their crowd (including two who would form Daft Punk) go stellar, but success for the pair is always just in sight yet out of reach.

As the years roll on and friends start swapping club nights for kids and early nights, Paul continues ploughing on as if nothing has changed...With locations spanning across Paris, Chicago and New York and cameos from real life house names, this is a love letter to the glory days of the scene. Featuring a vibrant soundtrack - including cuts from MK, Kings of Tomorrow, Liquid, DP, Frankie Knuckles and Terry Hunter - that puts you right there in the middle of the dancefloor.

Want to go back to the 90s? We know Eden will make you want to dance so after its 20:00 screening on Fri 24 July join us for an After Party (from 22:00 - late) for an evening of classic garage and house music with Bedmo Disco's Sell By Dave and Damien Schneider, founder of Onset and Apologue Records.
